10am: We reach Lake Poona - set up for a creative and heartfelt yoga and movement practice with Sally
12pm: Shared picnic lunch (bring something vegan/gluten free to share)… Swimming and relaxing into the land
1pm: Voice liberation session, and chanting mantras and heart songs with Vivian
3pm: Our closing circle will finish at the Lake by 3pm. After which you are welcome to stay on for longer at the lake and walk back to the carpark in your own timing and leisure. (about 40min walk - 2.1km grade 2 track)
MORE ABOUT LAKE POONA
Poona Lake is a 4.2km grade 2 return walk in Cooloola Recreation Area, Great Sandy National Park, on the Sunshine Coast mainland, and a short drive from Rainbow Beach.
The walk starts from the Bymien day-use area which is accessible by 2WDs.
The walking track takes you past huge Hoop Pines, hundreds of palms, strangler figs, epiphytic and terrestrial ferns and numerous ground orchid.
A reasonable level of fitness is required.
When you arrive at the lake you are rewarded with beautiful tea-coloured waters and white sandy beaches.
